McCain might be idolized by much of our media, but this can't last in the general election. He's not much great at giving speeches, and not a very good debater. In a party full of grumpy old bastards, he stands out for crankiness. What am I missing?

Whose Afraid of Angry John?
One thing I'm noticing is that progressives seem worried about running against John McCain. I don't understand this. Compared to the people he is poised to beat out for the Republican nomination, McCain seems like political juggernaut, but that doesn't say much. McCain is eminently beatable.
